چکیده
Effects of fluid–structure coupling on the dynamic behavior flexible airships can be modeled with a potential, incompressible, inviscid flow . A new formalism to study linear interface in time-dependent ambient is introduced. The fluid equations are condensed at help integral equations, which expressed as function structure variables defined time-independent reference configuration an Arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian (ALE) formalism. features Boundary Element Method (BEM) used solve this problem numerically exhibited. approximations method associated both linearization and discretization quantified validate model. simplified airship test case model studied illustrate practical application method.

Numerical Simulation of Two- Dimensional Complex Flows around Bluff Bodies Using the Immersed Boundary Method
This paper presents a two-dimensional numerical simulation of flows around different bluff bodies, at Re = 100 and 200, using the Immersed Boundary (IB) method, as a sequence of a previous work. The force density term required by the IB method is obtained with the Virtual Physical Model (VPM). Simulations were carried out for two circular cylinders of different diameter in tandem, two cylinders...
متن کاملBOUNDARY ELEMENT METHOD APPLIED TO THE LIFTING BODIES NEAR THE FREE SURFACE
In this study, the boundary element method is formulated to evaluate hydrodynamic characteristics of bodies including free surface effect. The method is based on two equations, the perturbation potential boundary integral and the pressure Kutta condition, which are solved simultaneously. The method uses isoparametric elements for both quantity and geometric on the boundary. The method is first ...
متن کاملVortex penalization method for bluff body flows
In this work, a penalization method is discussed in the context of vortex methods for incompressible flows around complex geometries. In particular, we illustrate the method in two cases: the flow around a rotating blade for Reynolds numbers 1000 and 10,000 and the flow past a semi-circular body consisting of a porous layer surrounding a rigid body at Reynolds numbers 550 and 3000. In the latte...
